Well, just when everything dried up and the grass was starting to sprout up....it snowed. About 2 feet and really high drifts. I hope we have enough hay to get through this. Last night dad and I took the tractor into town because the liquid in one wheel was leaking really bad. This afternoon dad got off of work early to go pick up the tractor because it was done. My favorite winter activity is being goalie when playing hockey with my friends.

This afternoon was beautiful! I took two of the little kids two to go skiing. (crosscountry) The snow was really nice and fluffy, so that was good since I blazed the trail :) I took them through the woods on our trails and then down a couple fun hills. This afternoon I took Rio out for a short 30 min. ride in the woods. The sun was out when we started out but then it clouded over and got really windy. I rode bareback: It's so much warmer!

This morning I when I looked at the temperature it was 10 below!!! We hadn't even had a chance to get used to the cold weather here! I did chicken chores and then drove into town with mom to the feed elivator for grain for the horses and layer feed for the chickens and guineas. This will be my first time of driving in winter weather and this ( Read more... )

Late this morning our neighbor's horse and cows got out. Their horse is so dangerous, she pushes into pressure big time and runs all over you! And their cows came up part of the driveway and trampled the grass by the garden but I suppose that doesn't matter since it will grow again in the spring. All John, our neighbor, has for a fence is one wire ( Read more... )

This morning I got up at 6:30 and got dressed really warm to go outside. It was really dark but I was going to one of our deer stands to sit for the morning. I got out there and got settled and waited. I had my 10D with me just in case I saw a deer. It was about 30 min to 45 min before I heard the first nosies.
