Sorry I've had to break these up into separate posts.  As I mentioned, the whole thing ended up being 14 pages long (after I tried to shorten it as much as possible... *blushes*), and there would be no way I could include it all in one post.  There are some vague spoilers for Ark of  Truth later on in this post, but hopefully nothing that will ruin

I agree. Seasons 9 and 10 just were not S/D shipper friendly. I tried so hard to keep going with Sam/Daniel in season 9, but once Vala showed up it became almost impossible to find little plot points to hang my lantern on. Not necessarily because Vala has a thing for Daniel, but just because Sam and Daniel so rarely had any scenes together. And the ones they did have weren't very... dynamic. It was so disappointing.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees it that way! And that's the trouble really. Even though I still rooted for Sam/Daniel, there was precious little for us to work with. Anytime I didn't like how something went, I tried to "fix" it in a missing scene fic. I wrote one that was post-Family Ties I think, where I have Daniel admit that he hasn't been spending any good quality time with Sam.

It is a shame that we have to resort to fic in order to get our fix. I just hope there is some decent interaction in Continuum.

I have to say I agree. I like the whole Vala thing, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I wonder if it's just because I enjoyed the promise of possibly seeing Daniel happy in a relationship, even if only a relationship that the writers approved of
