Is it me, or did she kinda resemble Rachel's Meg a little?
I thought that too! I knew the witch was trouble and when she reminded me of Meg, I thought for a minute we might be in for a new one this year!
So do you think they've squared things away now?
I hope so. We will have to see when Dean eventually finds out that Cas is working for the angels again and "reporting" to them about him and Sam. I hope he knows its against his will.
I am curious to see what's going to go down as a result of that. I can already see a schism in fandom based on how Dean would react to that, if he reacts better than he did to Sam's revelation of not looking for him in the premiere and what he said during the argument (when he was possessed) in the last ep.
I'm pretty sure that's what the writers want. I don't think they want to really deal with the ramifications of what Cas did, so they had him server penance and now it is over.
What did Sam do in this episode, besides look pretty (yum @ the t-shirt and scruffy hair when he got out of bed to check on Dean)?
He did nothing, and now that Cas has paid for all his sins the show can ramp up the "Sam betrayed Dean" theme without looking back. The writers have obviously decided that Cas being manipulated and Benny not adjusting to the world is more important than getting any insight into Sam other than Sam doesn't love Dean enough. I'm afraid the handling of Sam is really getting to me.
Not bad chapter, but not good enough, Sam's presence was almost non-existent (as lately it is) and with little weight in the story, everything was based on the return of Cass and Dean's memories about purgatory and some of the Tran family. Oh Crowly was there and did his part.
Yeah Jared have a lots of free time this season. If you want to read my all opinion of the chapter I put it in my journal behind the cut so I don't bother anyone with my opinion. Because I sent someone my opinion on the previous chapter in private and she became angry and not even read it, the worst was that I send it in private and she answer me in public. If she had bothered to read my opinion would have seen that I didn't attack any of her love characters. I consider myself a bi bro fan with a little weakness for Sam, but I'm not a closed person, I not see everything in black and white, I see shades of gray if I have to criticize Sam for something I do it, unfortunately I can't criticize him much because he not have a great participation in this season yet. But I have faith in the future chapters. HUGS
I was very disappointed with how Sam was barely in this episode, although I liked it a LOT. There were a lot of questions left unanswered and clues scattered everywhere. I liked name-checking Chuck and thinking he's dead. I would love to see the little guy again.
Eep... I hope not! I think it might look that way because he usually has it pushed further back from his forehead when he's playing a fed. And maybe because his hair is longer now it gives that illusion? I remember a few people saying that even his head looked different with the longer hair.

I don't blame you, I'm unhappy with it myself. And based on Jared's tweet last night, I wonder if he's feeling the same way...

She just had one scene but it was great to see her. I believe she will have a recurring role this season.
