It's been three weeks since my arrival in Australia and I haven't had a spare moment to write a word.

heather and justin are in Ellsworth, a mere thirty minutes away, en route to our apartment. could anything be more exciting? VISITORS!!!

for those of you who have been anxiously following the dramatically unfolding saga of my too-small bag, I am happy to report that I've been given a small bright pink duffel.

three and a half weeks in Perth passed like minutes.  other than a long weekend in Kalbarri, about nine hours north of here, we mostly hung around the house with Natalie's dad & Annelies, drinking wine, watching movies and cooking.  well, they cooked.  I washed dishes.  I cannot cook.

it feels like I do nothing but sleep.  two nights ago we went to see a movie- August Rush- in the park.  we brought our own deck chairs & it was a private screening for the West Australian newspaper- Annelies (Natalie's dad's girlfriend) works there- so it was a nice small crowd.  the movie was amazing, I would highly recommend it to anyone ( Read more... )
