Quickie Review: Age of Ultron

Summary: Tony proceeds to f*ck up world peace. Again.

Review: As a second installment, it's not as GoshWow as the first Avengers film, but it's a reasonable use of two hours.

In the comics it was Natasha who picked up the hammer.

  1. Also, by the first Avengers movie, JARVIS was no longer simply responding to orders but anticipating what Tony needed. “JARVIS, redirect all power to thrusters!” “I already did.”
  2. I’ve seen a few different comments on this. Some theorize that Cap could have picked up Mjolnir, and knew that he could (when it budged a bit), but chose not to (out of modesty or some other motive). Others said out that Cap couldn’t pick up Mjolnir at that time because he didn’t need to; but had they been in the midst of combat and Cap needed the hammer, it would have come up easily. Apparently that’s happened in the comics, when someone grabbed and used Mjolnir in the heat of battle, but was unable to lift it again afterward. (They might be setting up a surprise wherein Cap is able to lift Mjolnir during the Civil and/or Infinity War.)
