This is unfathomably gorgeous, each word tripping over the next until it all winds down to a stunning conclusion.

I am massively impressed with the formatting- this story is a package, a gorgeous one, with convoluted narrative and sexy details that suck the reader in, along with trippy indents and remarkable turns of phrase.

(We're going to pretend for a moment that the formatting doesn't give you away and that I didn't talk to you about all this just a couple of nights ago.) I've been having a lot of trouble feeling happy about my writing (and subsequently wanting to read fic written by other people because I know it'll just upset me), but this story in particular is special to me because it's one of the few I've written recently that I feel like does what I want it to do, makes me feel a little cold and a little warm and a little lonely and a little hopeful whenever I read it. And you've chosen some of my favorite parts of it and crafted perfect little moments out of them, and I never thought someone else's writing could make me feel proud of myself, but it does, and I think it's all thanks to the precise and masterful way you've handled this story and turned it into something really magnificent

okay, it's been ages but i'm just commenting back to say that i'm SO SO SO glad this worked for you. there were times when i was writing it that i was so full of doubts and wanted to throw everything out, but i'm glad i didn't, since it did so much for you. it was really fun to read the story and see the themes you had woven in and the elements that i could play around with! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
