I forgot to mention it earlier, but congratulations to Chrissie for booking a Hewlett-Packard commercial! Her Starburst ad has also been airing fairly regularly

Which starburst commercial? Not that I know who Chrissy is but still...it's neat to watch for stuff like that. I love any book by Ann Rule. She is a true crime writer (and I'm assuming you like true crime because of the book you're reading now) and her books are amazing. She has a ton of them too! I also liked the book "Drinking: A Love Story."
Thanks for the recommendations. Aside from In Cold Blood, I haven't read much true crime, but I'll have to look into the genre.
Chrissie's Starburst commercial involves "Robert" alienating his friends to get more candy; she is the only girl in the ad, so you should be able to spot her. She was also in a Ford SUV commercial in which she and other people gathered together to build an SUV (she and her "family" carried airbags) as well as an "It" commercial for eBay.
Right now, I'm reading Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town by Cory Doctorow and that's pretty good. I'm also reading The Agile Gene by Matt Ridley and it's just really mindblowing and interesting and so on.
I second The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time; I actually need to get on Mecha-Jan's case about finishing it. =P
Thanks for the recommendations! Like I mentioned above, I've read The Curious Incident..., but I haven't read the other two. Good luck in getting Jan to read the book. :)
Thanks! I'll have to look at Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I read Jonathan Strange a while back, and I enjoyed it as well.
I think Elizabeth Kostova wrote The Historian, which I read part of before getting sidetracked. I can see the confusion, since both novels mix the fantastic (magic, vampires) with a more mundane reality.
