i'm not usually into novels by bulk novel writers, but "forever odd" by dean koontz was really good. i haven't read odd thomas, which is the prequel, but the story didn't rely on it at all so it didn't matter.

odd thomas and forever odd both involve crime, but the main character has a secret weapon.

Nope; the S2 style I use (3 columns) allows you to add side columns pretty easily.
