No kidding! First they send us an earthquake, and then they send us a tropical storm. What would have been Irene's eye, had she made it up here still a hurricane -- which she almost did -- passed within a few blocks of me.

I heard the media really exaggerated about Irene; glad to hear it wasn't as bad as we were led to believe and that you are safe! :)

Good to hear Irene was kind to you. She was a lot more forcefull around here. Tons of trees down, lots of people still without power and numerous homes and businesses damaged. A big tree fell at my parents' house, luckily not right on the house but a huge limb plunged through the roof and into the master bedroom. Thankfully they were at that house at the time, but we have a lot of water damage, dry wall repair and roof replacement in our future. My office just got power back this morning around 11, but I don't expect to get power at home until Friday or Saturday. Fun fun.
