Oh, literature. If only I hadn't been taught to hate you in high school. <---- *nods* -_-

...okay, so I got out not hating ALL literature ever, but I despise all classes about it.

*winces* Yeah. Junior year of high school I had a teacher who pressed the most AWFUL books on us. She would not choose a book for us to read unless it contained one or more of the following: incest, alcoholism, or mentally retarded people. -_- I swear to god, "The Sound and the Fury" was the most horrible book I was ever forced to read. After that, I discovered Cliff's Notes.

Yuck! What is it about junior year English? I made the mistake of taking AP English junior year. We did not read a single book with a happy ending. And a lot of them had nasty stuff in them too. *stabs Kafka* -_-

Senior year was world lit, which redeemed me slightly; reading old sagas and myths helped. But...yeah. I love reading books; haaaaate taking classes about them.

*nods solemnly* I don't hate reading. I just generally hate reading things that are pushed on me without a choice on my part.
