It doesn't work if your blinds are made for keeping the heat in through :-(
Other than that, that's pretty much the state of our house.

Doesn't all insulating material work both ways? If you cool the room with a fan after closing out the heat, would that work?

Apparently the blinds I have don't do that *shrug*
I have a fan.
It doesn't cool the room, but it does cool me whilst I'm in the room so it's not too bad.

Try angling the fan so it bounces of icy water - its fabulous!
