One hour and 40 mins until my interview...and I am totally and utterly nervous. I don't know all the technical stuff I should. At all. Took my home computer apart last night so my husband could go through and help me have a visual for all the components we were talking about ( Read more... )

The purpose of each question is to make yourself look good no matter how stupid the question is. You could tell them that if there were any major boo boos you made, they were not big enough for them for you(or anyone else) to remember them.

But I think they won't believe you've NEVER made a mistake big enough to cause any type of problem. Regardless, they are looking for how you handle errors, mistakes, failures, and such and they want to hear about your skills, talents, etc. Saying "never made a major error" won't work...too many select that route and it doesn't give them what they are looking for.

My opinion only, of course.

No, I'm sure you're right...saying you never made an error can imply that you did, but you're not honest or fourthcoming.

LMAO! Hehe....only if it's going bad. If it looks like my answer isn't good enough I'll just yell "Raven, Gate us!"

Good luck on the interview! I think the school thing is a good mistake to mention - you want to play yourself up as close to perfect and not too many serious mistakes... With the customer story, be sure to end it with the customer getting some satisfaction without the store (or whatever) loosing anything...

Good idea...not one where I followed them home and beat them senseless...

That should be our fantasy scenario, albeit one that would fix a very annoying mistake. ;)

Hehe...there was once where a customer pissed me off so much that I clocked out on my break, removed my name tag, and followed her to the parking lot to advise her to never come back again. Company policy said that they aren't responcible because I was on my break and off the store premesis.

Good luck with the interview!

They are looking to assess how you handle difficult situations. The answer about education is a good one because it highlights the desire to continuously learn.

Bad/difficult customer...they are trying to assess what types of customer relationship skills you have. Even an old story will work there if it highlights your skills and talents.
