Children's is having a scavenger hunt today.

Suddenly I'm getting actual, research-based reference questions, things that involve more than "do you have this book?" or "what's the phone number for ... ?"

They're making me WORK!!!

... is to see if I can discreetly eat a cannoli at the Reference Desk without getting mascarpone & powdered sugar everywhere.

There are certain authors we have on standing order with Baker & Taylor - the minute they come out with a book, we get a copy.

My Director just asked if we could add Steig Larsson to the list.

Y'all know Steig Larsson, right - he wrote Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Girl Who Played with Fire, Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest?

I had someone come in at 8:56 p.m. last night looking for tax forms.

I can't help giggling: we've got a Conversational Spanish class going on downstairs, while the English as a Second Language folks are upstairs.

I made tea an hour & a half ago, and forgot all about it. And I'm wondering why I'm sitting here yawning.

Ah well.
