I've been on vacation for a week and a half.

I have 172 e-mails in my primary inbox. Plus about 2 dozen each in my other 2 inboxes.

(And yes, the fact that I'm posting on LJ for the 2nd time in 10 minutes instead of actually READING my e-mails means I'm in full procrastination mode.)

I just sent off a snarky e-mail to Gale, which is a company that makes several databases we subscribe to.  One of my jobs is to keep track of usage stats every month.  Doing this for the Gale databases used to be slightly convoluted, but doable with enough caffeine ( Read more... )

After a long hard day "off" yesterday, I came in to work this afternoon to find that some mysterious benefactress (I'm assuming female, since I highly doubt the World's Crankiest Janitor is involved) left me a package of dark chocolate peanut butter cups, and the new Phryne Fisher has come in.

That's more like it, Universe.

I just had a patron call me a git in email.

Please get off the internet & go the hell away.  I have a very good book I'd like to get back to.

It's a beautiful day.  A bit breezy (thanks, Earl!), but mostly sunny & no humidity whatsoever.  It's a holiday weekend.

So what the hell are all these people doing in the library?!?!?!?

Do people ask me questions & then completely ignore the answer?
