Our grant request to build the Awful Tower was rejected.

Looks like I'll go to Colorado after all. And... all that other stuff I want to do. Wow I'm feeling an odd cocktail of relief and disappointment and excitement.

Hmm. That's not as immediately obviously full of awesome as getting the grant, and yet it leaves the door open for so many other awesome possibilities plus a few more than might sneak in the window when you least expect them.
