"the worst part is in school is that we're split up based on how we learn. excellent idea guys, lets put the people who learn a little slower in the "stupid class" as its known to most students and give them more reason to feel bad about themselves and give their parents something to be disappointed about ( ... )

I disagree with that kid ^. I think college is the time when you are supposed to figure yourself out... and I think that that means not going in with expectations of what you want to do. A big part of college is learning for the sake of learning and doing things that you find interesting, not just that you think will boost your career. It's not always about the future; sometimes it's just about the present.

Definitely. College is when you're finally free to make your own decisions and find out who you are and who you want to spend time with, or what you want to spend time doing. Academically, you can put in as little or as much effort as you want, and in what subjects you want because even though you're parents are (likely) footing the bill, they're also not able to dictate what "advanced" classes you need take to challenge yourself, and if they try there's an off button on the phone ( ... )
