You are so welcome for the rec.(Although I am curious as to how you even found out. lol) I wanted to say much more about your story but didn't want to say anything that would lesson the impact that reading it would give. Thank you. I don't know how anyone could do that to an animal. He pretty much died in our arms, and painfully. I was so glad my kids weren't home at the time.
I got a comment from a 'ping back bot' or whatever telling me about it :) and I appreciate what ou did say, and even more so the fact that you had more you wanted to say.
And some people are just lacking as humanbeings. Unfortunately there are too many who have no comprehension of basic human kindness. At least the poor little guy was with you and not alone, though that's a small mercy. If you knew who was doing (because odds are this wasn't a one time thing unfortunately) you can call the SPCA and likely the police depending on where you are it is illegal in a lot of places to deliberately harm animals, particularly domestic/pet animals (stray or actual pets both)

I like to think maybe it eased his suffering a bit to be with his family. Unfortunately, we have no idea who it could have been and we are fairly sure he'd been poisoned once before but he was just sick for a couple of days. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that sort of thing out here. Now I have to worry about the fox that lives around here. lol
Thank you! As a fellow animal lover, I know you know how tough that was. Mitch was just so hard cos she'd been with us forvever (at least sixteen years). Orangey, devastated us because it was so cruel and he was in so much pain.
The house is lovely! we're still renovating but we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank goodness. I love my contractor, he's a great guy, we've known him for years but I never want to see him again! Haha! I love that I get deer in my yard. I missed that when we were living in town.
