It is definitely a Monday here at work. It's only 10:27 and I've already been yelled at by a customer. Not the way you want to start your week.

So who had a good Halloween weekend? Ours was okay. For some reason, I didn't really get in the Halloween mood this year. Which is odd for me, because I am a lover of all things creepy. Maybe it was because ( Read more... )

I *so* want to tell yelling customers how I really feel, but if I did that, I'd probably have even less money because they'd surely fire me.

I was so psyched for Halloween, but then wasn't able to celebrate it AT ALL. (Spent all day writing a ten-minute presentation for that SUPERNATURAL project I mentioned to you. Have to present it in front of class tomorrow. EEK.)

Hurray for the revisions going well! Crossing my fingers that you won't notice something drastic to change, since you've clearly been working so hard on this book already!

I know! I can't wait to finish this Beast. I think it would help if I stopped procrastinating.

I hope your project went well! I *hate* presentations. Do you ever worry that when you become a published author you'll be the reclusive kind? I can't picture myself getting up in front of a crowd and talking about myself and my writing!

Oh, I definitely worry about that if I'm ever published. I get totally tongue-tied and rambly whenever talking in front of...well, anyone. I'm pretty sure I bombed my presentation, since my words kept coming out wrong. (Once, when trying to say "Sam and Dean," my brain made it come out as "Dan," and lots of other stupid mistakes that made me blurt out I SUCK AT THIS in the middle of my presentation. *head-desk*)

OH NO! That totally would have been me though! I always have the same four-step process: 1. Racing heart 2. Sweating 3. Tongue-tied 4. Epic Fail. It sucks! It's stupid to even think this, because I haven't even sold a book yet, but I am dreading any sort of public speaking/book signing. I'll have to have a running prescription for Xanax or something!

I'm glad you survived and it's over. Hopefully you'll get a break from presentations? Maybe?
