There are 56 days till Spring.

Not that I'm counting or anything...

It's been so cold lately. The kind of cold that makes breathing painful. Ughh.

We went down to the lake the other day. Even though the beach is covered in snow, it still sparks a bit of hope in me. Seeing the beach reminds me of summer.

I made my first Etsy purchase today! I love that place, but I never seem to have extra money to shop with. I decided I really wanted to buy a Christmas present for my daughter from the site because a) everything is handmade and b) I knew I could find something unique.

Last night was one of those nights where everything went wrong. My daughter slammed her finger in a drawer. My son spilled half the carton of milk on the floor. Hours after bed, I found my daughter had leaked through her diaper and was SOAKED. Nothing like having to wake a child in the middle of the night to change them and the bedding.

About four years ago, my husband switched shifts at work and had to be there at 5:30 a.m. Back then, we only had one car and I needed it to take Son to school. So every morning, the three of us got up, took Joe to work, then Son and I would go to the gas station. It was mid-January. Snowy. Cold. Son and I would get hot chocolates, maybe a donut.
