Chatter about Easter, Computers and Wyn

I should really go to bed if I want to be sane in the morning, but I'm not, so there.

You see, my parents decided it would be fun to go to the Sunrise service at the Sydney Opera House this morning. Sunrise=6am. We live in the Blue Mountains, meaning the train ride into the City is about an hour and a half, when you get the all-stations train (like ( Read more... )

Yay! I hope you like the Apoc. ^_^ I'm glad you're having fun with Wyn, too, and I'm looking forward to reading her story. Sucks about the computer issues, though, so I hope you can get hold of a new computer soon. (Hey, why don't I get $750 tax returns for technology stuff? Australia has all the luck.)

I think this is the first year in my entire life so far that I haven't made it to church at all on Easter. I had to do some finagling with hours at work so I could get the afternoon off for Easter dinner, which unfortunately means having to work in the morning. Seeing the family later today will be good, though, and my brother can go, which was doubtful for a while. And also, CHOCOLATE.

Oh, I am really enjoying the apocalypse. I love what you've (you'd) done with Rhys's character - how the situation changed him and - yeah I need to leave you a comment in your thread... I was actually going to try to start reading it without reading the legacy first, but then I decided there were too many people being introduced whom I didn't know - so I read through all 10 generations. I haven't done that since a year ago when I finished the Uglacy!

The computer issues are the strangest I've ever seen. But this computer is 5 years old, was a school/networked computer originally and, since I recently looked up the system requirements for TS2 when I was looking around online for a new one, it doesn't even meet all of them. Technically I shouldn't be part of the Comm at all! So I'm not going to complain.

I'm a PK - not going to church on Sunday is a deadly sin in my household. Usually I don't mind it, but sometimes it's a pain.

I agree - MMM CHOCOLATE!

Happy Easter, Jane! I want $750 too...that could get me a great desktop. Lucky! Well, I don't really want to work, so I guess it balances out. Good luck at your job.
I'm glad that you're getting a new system; your current one sounds like a pain in the butt! It's like it's slowly deteriorating...that's so weird, I've never heard of that before.
Wyn! Yay! I think you'll do a great job with her.
So good luck with everything, and have lots of jellybeans! Aww, if I could send jellybeans via the Internet I could, the ones this year are amazing! :D

Happy Easter, June! (I just remembered that I haven't read your update yet, either! Sorry, sorry.)

I know, I think the 750 is great. But yeah - I'll be a happy person when I have a job someplace other than McDonalds. I don't mind working in Fast Food as much as some people, but this'll be the third McDonalds job on my Resumé.

It's the wierdest deterioration I've ever seen! But as I told Marina, this computer shouldn't be running TS2 at all!

I am very excited for Wyn! I'm thinking maybe I should post the teaser I wrote for simspiration here for her - I am actually really proud of how that one turned out.

MMM, Jellybeans. Don't worry about it, I've had enough chocolate this year without adding jellybeans to the mix.

We got my new computer at msy.com.au This place makes you a computer and they are cheaper then Dell. You only pay for components you need. Mine was about $11,000 for about 3MB Ram, and a larger end graphics card. Can't remember the rest.

So happy Easter. I'm sure I was going to say something else but I am still asleep. Our 'wonderful' neighbors were partying_again last night at 3am. zzzzzzz

Lol, that's okay. I'm looking at that site right now, but I can't find any laptops. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough... Was that $1,100 for a desktop or a laptop? Because I need a laptop, since we'll be going back to Canada in July, and Laptops are a lot easier to transport.

Happy Easter to you too! For once, we didn't have any late night partiers around. I hope you fare better today.

That was for a desktop. I'll ask dh if they do laptops. I would have thought so, but I'm not sure.

Happy Easter, Jane!

Congrats on the new computer when it arrives! I wish you the best with the job! See you around!

(Decides that after all the other exclamation points her name doesn't really need one.;) )

Happy Easter, Lauri!

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to it! (the computer, not the job).

I love exclamation points!
