Ooh. Very much looking forward to When You Wish -- readerjane has mentioned it to me. (Now go get back to work on it. Please? *g*) And more in your ItLS verse would not go amiss, either. ;)

I fancied I had rather a breakthrough on WYW this morning while working out. I actually said "Oh, oh!" when the idea came to me. Now that the blood flow has slowed, though, I'm trying to remember exactly what I thought that was so significant. :P

*iz dork*

Must. make. it. work!

Sigh. If I had a nickel for every time I've had some Major Thought!! about writing as I was falling asleep, and be *sure* I'd remember it the next morning...I wouldn't be looking for a job. ;)

Re: WYW...did you figure out the basic problem you were trying to solve?

Well, it comes down to two things: how do S6 Spike and S3!Wishverse Buffy interact and how do I get back into canon (OY!). Today's thought involved the latter. Someone's gotta undo the wish, and I've always assumed D'Hoffryn would be involved, for rather obvious reasons as I've set up in the story. I couldn't figure out why D'Hoffryn would agree to dissolve the Wishverse and put Anya and Spike back in the Magic Box, but I think I figured that out this morning in a way that is also foreshadowing of S7. How nifty would that be?

Now there's that slight matter of pulling it off...

ItLS-verse? Gulp. I'll bring hankies!

I haven't seen mscl since it first aired over here, but that snippet reminded me why that's a shame. So *pompoms*, go, go, go! (Or another cheer-style if you prefer...)

Well, yes, that is the potential drawback. I have to make it readable, when sometimes I just want to put Spike in a chair and have him sit and sit and sit in his suffering. But that's not really our guy, is it? He will persist in getting up and getting out, and that's SO much a story I want to tell. :)

mscl is genius, no? That was my very first fandom, and the people in it were so smart and funny and passionate (although I remember so little fic about the show; the mscl mailing list was *super* meta. I'm so disappointed that my meta posts were eaten several years ago during one of my moves and one of my email shifts. I was a posting queen back in the day!).

I will try to attempt a pilot mscl/BtVS mash for the two of us, then! LOL Don't hold your breath, but it will come...

"The Apocalypse between Day 19 and Day 37"

I think this is a wonderful idea, and I can't wait to read it. :)

I've actually had that on my mind since before ItLS. I always wanted to do a fic about the gang + Spike having to take care of Buffy's job in her absence and all the attendant difficulties that come from also having to deal with her death. Fingers crossed that I can manage it! :)

It's so cool that you started writing again this past year.

I'm sure you have many more great stories for 2010. And you may be inspired to write more Supernatural fic :)

I may be! Dean and Sam are pretty inspiring, really. Although they are better off in much more capable hands than mine. :) I'm reading a great piece by nwhepcat right now that you would probably really enjoy, so you might check her out if you haven't.

Thanks for the rec. I haven't read anything by her but I'll check out her stories asap.

Oh, gosh. You are in for a treat! She's a fabulous writer. She writes in the Buffyverse, too. The story I've been following is "The Apotheosis of Wile E. Coyote," which you can find in her memories (although I think one installment is not listed there, so be careful. If it feels like you skipped something, you did! I meant to email her about that...).

She's also been reccing SPN podfics recently, so you might come into contact with even more goodies! :)

(when Spike sees the Buffybot after Buffy's funeral)

I agree: that was the crying-est. Made my heart hurt, in a very good way.

(*Finish "When You Wish.")

Eeee! **Flails like a happy-flaily thing.** Looking forward to it!

Looking forward to it? Lady, it's not happening without you, so you'd best prepare yourself! ;) As I said to rynogeny above, I have the seed of an idea that I will need to discuss with you shortly. I am in Davenport right now for the Mary Queen of Scots presentations tomorrow, and I'm so sick and miserable (yes, I worked out sick [see: above]) that it'll be a miracle if I'm capable of cogent thought tomorrow. UGH.

And see, that's the great part -- I get to look forward to the beta phase AND reading the finished product!

LOL That's the positive way of looking at it... ;)

To work, we will...as soon as I feel more human.

Dang it, do I need a "sick" icon? :P
