I'm a TA again this fall for BNFO 601: Introduction to Bioinformatics.  This year we have 16 students in a computer lab designed for 12.  It's a little crazy.  I'm trying to get the students to turn in problem sets (optional) so that we have a better idea of how students are doing.  The first one was due today.  So far 5 students turned it in and ( Read more... )

Anyone have good recommendations for cat litter?  I'd prefer to use one of the more natural options (Feline Pine, Nature's Miracle, etc) than the traditional chemical ones.  Has anyone used any of them?  Do they work well or are they not worth it?

Andy and I got a kitten!  She was born on May 6 at a farm in Wisconsin.  Her name is Taji.
