I forgot to add, I got a request for an invoice, then--before I could get around to responding--I got a second e-mail from the customer saying,Cancel that search, I found the invoice. Thank you and have the greatest weekend ever!

My favorite prosperity card is Bishop.

I've gotten to a 7/9 card deck where I buy 2 cards and bishop 2 cards each turn.

I was only getting 4 or so vp each turn but it was every turn. :)

Torturer was blunted by the forge, definitely. I was mostly looking for a way to draw more cards; that's the reason I got them. It goes so well with shanty town, though (which is a good card in my world). That game was the only game I felt like I was doing anything, and I still didn't win. I think going province/gold, as good as that seems, was my flaw, since it really clogged up my engine. Better to buy, say, forge, and get the junk out of the engine. At least for a couple picks.

As for Le Havre, the last few plays keep reverberating in my head as so stupid - taking the wheat for food I didn't need, getting iron (including the + 1) to get iron I couldn't use, leaving me with just barely not enough energy to convert the useless iron into useful steel and buy a luxury liner... very frustrating. I could have done better.

Also, I like the non-shortened game more... I hope it can come back out sometime.

Edit: and also that I can follow the rules next time, d'oh.
