Set between September 1997 and March 1998

When Jensen woke up he found a pair of eyes looking at him in the dim light coming through the closed curtains.

“’Morning sunshine.”

“Hey.” Jensen addressed Nathan a sleepy smile and turned on his side, facing him. “I overslept again?”

“Yep.”

Jensen raised his head and checked the clock on the nightstand on Nathan’s side of the bed, then sighed and let himself fall back on the pillow. His classes had started an hour before.

“Why didn’t you wake me?”

“I tried but you slept right through all my attempts.” Nathan smirked, his hands finding its way to Jensen’s shoulder and his fingers caressing the skin. “I guess you really needed some rest.”

“Yeah, something kept me up all night.” Jensen mirrored the grin, biting on his lip. “Can’t remember what, though.”

“Really?”

“Uh-uh.” Jensen nodded with a smug smile on his face.

“Then I guess I should remind you.” Nathan’s hands traveled to Jensen’s hip and the boy shivered, moving as quickly as he could. He pushed Nathan on his back and climbed on his lap, straddling him.

“You really should.” Jensen lowered himself, his hands supporting him at either side of Nathan’s head. “With details and all.”

“Starting from this.” Nathan lifted his head slightly and started a slow kiss, as his hands went up to Jensen’s bare back, stroking the smooth skin there.

When they broke for air Jensen locked their gazes together and smiled.

“I love you.”

~~

“Nate!” Jensen whined as he was lifted by his lover, then deposited on the kitchen table.

“You’re getting skinny.” Nathan observed, a grin curving his lips. “You need to eat more.” Nathan reached for a bowl behind Jensen and took a fresh strawberry, bringing it to Jensen’s lips.

“Nate…” Jensen warned him after taking the fruit, half amused and half annoyed that he was being manhandled so easily. He was really getting skinny.

“And to go back to some kind of sport…maybe go to the gym.” Nathan nodded to himself, and Jensen parted his legs, making room for his lover to step closer. Nathan did, still wrapped up in his thought.

“Nate.” This time Jensen sounded only amused, and his arms circled Nathan’s neck.

“What?” Nathan looked at him with a smile, his hands resting on Jensen’s hips.

“Your brother is looking at us.” Jensen barely repressed a laughter as he made eye contact with a dark-haired guy standing in the doorstep with an amused smile on his face. Peter.

“What?”

“Hey Nathan.” Peter walked in and Nathan turned abruptly, surprised. “It’s good to see you too.”

“I didn’t know you were coming in town!” Nathan took a step towards his brother and hugged him tightly. “Peter, this is Jensen, my…”

“Boyfriend.” Peter interrupted him, smiling. “I kinda got the picture when you put him on the table and started to feed him.”

Jensen blushed at that and hopped down, reaching Peter and holding out his hand. “It’s good to meet you, Peter. Nathan talks a lot about you.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Peter smiled to him and as they shook hands Jensen felt he was going to like the boy a lot. “Sorry if I interrupted something.” He added with a smirk, making Jensen blush again.

“Don’t worry.” Nathan smiled, then looked at Jensen. “What about we all go someplace nice for dinner? I want updates on my little brother’s New York life.”

“Yeah, that’s good for me.” Peter nodded and looked between Nathan and Jensen.

“Maybe I should let you two go. I mean, I guess you have a lot to talk about.” Jensen smiled, showing he didn’t mind staying home.

“Yeah, like I’d miss the chance to know the boy who made my brother fall head over heels in love.” Peter smirked at Jensen’s half pleased half embarrassed expression.

Nathan watched the two of them and shook his head, letting out an amused chuckle. “I’ll call the restaurant.”

~~

Jensen sighed, stretching his back and looking up from the laptop and books on the desk. It was 10 pm and he was deadly bored. He thought about calling the boy he’d met at Rosenbaum’s party, Chris, to go out and grab a beer, but then shook his head. He wasn’t in the mood for going out with friends and have a drink, he just wanted to lie on the bed and sleep until Nathan got home.

But Nathan had left four days before, he was in Odessa for a few meetings with lawyers and managers, and Jensen was alone in the big house.

Without thinking too much about it he took out his phone and dialed Nathan’s number. As the phone rang Jensen brought the pen to his mouth and chewed on it nervously.

“Jensen?” Nathan’s voice sounded kind of raspy, and Jensen hesitated.

“Were you sleeping?”

“Kinda.”

“I’m sorry.” Jensen whispered, putting down his pen and biting on his lower lip.

“Hey, it’s okay.” Nathan yawned and Jensen heard the noise of papers being moved. “I fell asleep reading some paperwork.”

Jensen felt slightly relieved by that and showed a little smile, even if he knew Nathan couldn’t see it. Slowly he stood and walked to the bed, sitting down.

“I thought about going out with some friends.” Jensen informed, and he didn’t know why he felt the need to tell Nathan.

“That Chris guy?”

“Yeah.”

“Why didn’t you go?” Nathan asked, and Jensen bit on his lip. He could tell Nathan wasn’t exactly unhappy about it.

“Want the truth?”

“It’d be great.” Nathan’s tone was amused, but there was still a trace of worry.

“I miss you so freakin’ much I don’t want to do anything else than lie here and wait for you to come home.” Jensen admitted, and despite he knew Nathan couldn’t see him, he blushed at his own words.

“I miss you too, Jen. Miss you so much.” Jensen could feel Nathan’s soft smile and lied down, eyes on the ceiling. “I’m sorry this is taking longer than I thought.”

“How long?” Jensen asked, looking at the desk completely covered with his laptop and college books.

“A few days, maybe a week.”

“A week?” Jensen repeated, sitting quickly. “Another week?”

“I know, I’m so sorry.” And Jensen could tell Nathan really was sorry, but it still sucked. “I promise I’ll make it up to you as soon as I get home, Jennyboy.”

Jensen let out a soft laughter at the stupid nickname and let himself fall back on the bed. “I know you will. But don’t call me that.”

“You love it.”

“I don’t!”

“Liar.”

Jensen laughed at Nathan’s amused tone, and the man followed immediately.

“I’ll let you go back to your work.”

“Try and get some sleep.”

“I’ll try.” Jensen smiled, rolling on his side. “Love you.”

“Love you too.”

As the conversation ended Jensen looked at the laptop on the desk. He saw himself and Nathan smile from the picture he’d set as wallpaper, and closed his eyes. He thought again about calling Chris, then decided not to. Thinking about how he was going to cope with being alone for another week he fell asleep, the phone still in his hand and the lamp on the desk still on.

~

Jensen felt the bed move under him and he panicked, waking up immediately. The lamp on the desk was turned off, the phone wasn’t in his hand anymore and the only light came from the laptop.

“It’s okay, it’s me.” A familiar voice whispered in the half light.

“Nathan!” Jensen turned and found himself face to face with his boyfriend. “Wait…Nathan?”

“Surprise.” Nathan smiled and lied down on his side in front of Jensen, and the boy noticed he was already in his pajamas pants.

“Nathan!” Jensen said again as a wide smile spread on his lips. Then brought his hand to the back of the man’s neck and pulled him in a bruising kiss. “I’m not dreaming, right?”

“No, I’m home.” Nathan reassured him with an amused frown, then pulled Jensen even closer. “I was on the plane when you called.”

“You could have told me.” Jensen whispered, burying his face in the man’s neck.

“I wanted to surprise you.”

“You did.” Jensen grinned and placed a series of kisses on Nathan’s jaw and up to his mouth. They kissed again, and Jensen straddled the man’s hips, never breaking the contact between their lips.

Nathan’s hands traveled on Jensen’s back, lifting the hem of his shirt, as his lips moved to the boy’s neck.

“I’m so happy you’re here.” Jensen whispered, closing his eyes.

“I can feel that.” Nathan grinned, lifting his hips slightly and making Jensen choke back a moan. With a quick movement Nathan inverted their position, trapping Jensen under him. “I’m happy too.” Nathan whispered in his ear, moving his crotch against Jensen’s.

Covering the boy’s mouth with his own Nathan continued his movement, until Jensen started to whimper loudly.

“Oh God, Nate…” Jensen gripped the man’s shoulders and arched up in his touch. “Oh shit…fuck me, I…I need you to fuck me right the fuck now…”

“Demanding, aren’t we?” Nathan smiled and bit gently on Jensen’s lobe, moving his hips again. “Don’t worry, I’m getting there.”

“Nate…I swear…” Jensen gripped Nathan’s shoulders harder and they made eye contact. “Next time you tell me you’re staying away that much just to tease me…I’ll kill you.”

Nathan grinned, his hand covering Jensen’s erection through his boxers. “I love you too, Jennyboy.”

~~

“I hate these parties.” Jensen muttered, looking around with the falsest smile ever.

“I hate them too, but it’s part of my job.” Nathan squeezed his hand apologetically, and Jensen nodded, sighing. “Just go drink something and get wasted enough for me to have my wicked way with you later.” The man added with a grin.

“You have a dirty mind.” Jensen chuckled, genuinely amused, but walked towards a waiter anyway. He took a glass of Champaign and looked around.

“Hey, I thought you hated parties.”

“I do.” Jensen turned with a smile and saw Chris standing there with a glass in his hand.

“Still, I can see you wearing a fancy Italian suit and drinking some damn good French Champaigne.”

Jensen laughed and looked at his right, spotting Nathan. “What can I say? He asked nicely.” He looked back at Chris. “And it’s Michael’s house, I know where to hide. Just in case.”

Chris chuckled and shook his head. “You never change.”

“So, want to find somewhere quiet?” Jensen proposed with a smirk. Chris nodded and they headed to the balcony.

~

Jensen was looking at the dark sky above him, waiting for Chris to come back with their glasses refilled. He almost jumped when he felt a strong hand close on his arm.

“Where the hell were you?” Nathan hissed, making him turn.

“I was just having a chat with Chris.” Jensen frowned, surprised by Nathan’s reaction.

“I don’t want to let you out of my sight with all this people around.” Nathan’s expression darkened, and Jensen felt almost threatened by that look.

“You don’t trust me?” Jensen’s hurt tone made the painful grip on his arm loosen suddenly.

“Of course I trust you, you know I do.” Nathan replied, making eye contact, his expression much softer. “I just don’t trust the rest of the world.” He added, his hand caressing Jensen’s cheek.

“Right.” Jensen only said, and moved away from his touch. “Like I’d let someone hit on me.”

“I’m just worried.” Nathan brought his hand up once again and cupped Jensen’s cheek. “You remember how we met, right?”

“You tried to hit on me.”

“See? That’s how things start.”

“Nate, I was dancing almost naked right in front of you. In a strip club.” Jensen let out a soft laughter. “It’s kind of different.”

“Doesn’t matter.” Nathan showed a little smile. “I don’t wanna risk, I don’t wanna lose you.”

“You won’t.” Jensen reassured him, his hands resting on Nathan’s chest. “’Cause right now I’m in love with this wonderful, thoughtful, handsome man, and I don’t give a damn about whoever tries to hit on me.”

“Not even Chris?”

Jensen let out another laughter and shook his head. “Chris’ as straight as an arrow.”

“Good for me.” Nathan whispered, his arms circling Jensen’s waist.

“Nate.” Jensen looked up and brought his hands to cup Nathan’s cheeks. “I love you, okay? I’m not going anywhere.”

“I know” Nathan rested his forehead against Jensen’s and nodded slowly. “I wouldn’t let you.”

Jensen frowned slightly at those words, but then shook his head and smiled, placing a soft kiss on Nathan’s lips.
