I cleaned out the babies' rooms today and, since Charles got up and wanted the windows open, I got a good look at Jade Knight in the sun--she's gotten terribly white :| If you've seen
their pictures, Jade Knight was a touch golden all over, where Lord British is brown. Now, the only golden left on her is right above her rump and most of her tail.
It has me worried a bit, but she seems healthy otherwise, which leads me to believe maybe it's the bath dust getting in her coat... or that she's not getting any sun... or that she's not eating her normal food, instead relying on the treats I give them [she seems to habitually bury her food bin and not find it again]... or something that's really out of my hands, like she's getting older.
Otherwise, nothing new in particular. Chars is playing Neojank for me and making fun of all the different things in the game ["the one-eyed cat thing" or "that Tyrannosaurus Rex guy" or "that yellow thing" or "NeoBling"]. We also watched the DVD extras for HP4--most of it is documentary footage of the major events [Yule Ball, three tasks, graveyard]. The 'additional scenes' aren't too great, as I had hoped*... the most noteworthy scene that got cut was one with a bunch of kids making out and Snape catching them, then telling Karkaroff, "I have nothing to be afraid of... can you say the same?"
*that is, all redundant scenes, plus what's effectively a music video of "The Band that Needs No Introduction" doing the Hippogriff--nothing truly spectacular got cut
Charred made fun of how these five people won a contest to meet the HP cast and got to ask them a question and had that filmed as part of the DVD extras and how I have to get ready and win a contest and get to be on the next HP DVD extras and I don't have anything to ask them and how the hell do I plan to win a contest, particularly one I didn't know had occurred until watching the DVD, and Charlies is STUPIDS XB
...please let him know that for me ;D
I also drew and fixed my tablet... rough history of my Intuos, the last two steps of which occurred tonight: ordered one refurbished, waited a month, didn't get it, bought a new tablet out of impatience, cancelled refurbished tablet order, got scratch on cover, flipped cover and laminated whole thing with rub-on laminate, got scratch in laminate, spent several hours removing laminate with Goo-Gone, re-laminated... LE FIN.
I got too distracted to finish the drawing, though.
