i thought it was fucking awful. doesn't compare to the book at all. right before it came out, alan moore did an interview (with the onion i think), where he enumerated the various shots that are in every Ripper movie. that he avoided in the comic. FH the movie managed to hit practically every one of the cliches he listed. heather graham cannot act (her turn in austin powers 2 made liz hurley's acting job look good), and is far too good looking for this role. part of the point that moore was making was that these are ordinary people, not fucking movie stars. also they fucked up the plot in an unforgiveable manner. terrible. fucking terrible. yech.
