This review is spot-on to how I felt about it, too. Mickey Rourke is just...he can't really do any wrong; melted face and all. I would like to see more of "Vanko" just because the character's love of his pet bird reminded me of images I've seen of Rourke with his pet chihuahua (who died, I think?) and how in all his weirdness he's pretty simple in his love for those animals. Or something. I hate there wasn't as much Rhodey-Stark bromancing going on as was in the first one. Or at least the 'feeling' of them being 'close'(r). I really missed that. This one lacked the charm or something of the first one. I can't really say, but you've said it already. I kind of wanted more action. Yup, there were what, two main sequences and that's about it? Yup, needed more. Sam Rockwell I love, love, love and when he did his James Brown strut to the podium I hollered. Reminded me of his character in Charlie's Angels. And Gary Shandling, yes, his face dear Lordt. Great review.
