It's something I've always been a little confused about. The little "t" make it difficult ground to navigate. I can understand the confusion people have. I mean, New Testament is filled with women in the ministry of Jesus. I did a paper on women in the early Church, and you can find a few instances where women are literally refered to as a deconess. I think there is a huge distinction between deaconess and priestess, however. It's definitely an interesting debate.

Nono, being a priest is the ONLY way I can show God I love him. Gosh, you Catholics are just being silly! What weight does a 2000 yr old precident have anyways, esp. now that we are sooooooooo enlightened!

and thanks for posting this. i think everyone struggles with decisions they weren't involved in, from ccmers to me to everyone, apparently even these womenpriests people. and the long and the short of it is, it's not in our power to make this decision. nobody asked us. maybe we think that isn't fair. we weren't consulted. we don't agree. we have a different (which we see as better) take on things.

but guess what? it's not up to us. some folks handle this better than others.

Our Lord did not establish a democracy. and thanks be to God for that!
