Monday (20th July) was dinner at the Vic, which was tasty. Tuesday was a quiet night in, which was necessary. Wednesday was supposed to be WHQ but it was cancelled, so I thought I'd go with my back-up plan and head to the Navigation to listen to improvised flute rock, but that was cancelled too. Monday (13th July) was a reasonably relaxed evening, with a visit from Al and some attempt to speak German out loud. We're enthusiastic but pretty rubbish. Monday (6th July) was the Old Men of Beeston's Eating Club at Kayal. I've been there a few times and the food is always excellent, although the service was pretty slow this time. Monday (29th June) evening I headed to the uni campus with Richard, Em and Stu to meet up with Na and get our science on. We'd heard talk of the Thunder and Lightning lecture, which sounded like a lot of fun. So Friday (26th June) was the start of a grand adventure, setting off mid-afternoon to drive to Tremadog, the first time we've been there in nearly a year. It was a long journey but we made it to Eric's bunk barn by early evening, in time to head into Tremadog itself for a decent meal at the Union. Friday (19th June) was an great evening spent watching Jurassic World with Richard, Na, Em and Stu before hitting the Orange Tree. The film is utterly ridiculous and has dinosaurs in it, which is really all I wanted. I now finally know what I want to be when I grow up - a velociraptor wrangler with a motorbike.
