This morning public schools were delayed by 2 hours which meant preschool was delayed one hour which meant I didn't get to go to yoga. Well, a little bit at least, because a large part of it consists of writing. So you need to be a person for whom writing is a comfortable means of communication. But I don't think it requires a person to be "writerly" in the sense of wanting to write professionally, or anything like that.
And the senate failed to pass the Patriot Act.
Huzzah, huzzah, huzzah!

Define "comfortable". Well, I guess that's partly a question for *me*. Thinking about whether I am comfortable with writing.... Well, yes and no. Yes, in that I've been on mailing lists, Usenet, and now am on LJ (which to me is much easier than trying to maintain a personal website). No, in that I can get pretty insecure about my ability to write clearly.
jelazakazone, how about turning the question around: Do you consider everyone on your LJ readinglist to be writerly?
she thought it took a certain personality to have one.
Does she mean one has to be interesting, so as to have something to write about, or does she mean a certain mindset, so as to be motivated to update?
