Snow day

So, it snowed. It's still snowing. We are not getting a whole lot, but whatever. It's snowing. So, I've been distracted, although I did manage to fold some laundry, do a little cleaning, and cook some veggies. Go me.

I tried to go to work and turned around. Apparently they closed at noon so it was a good choice. We were snowed in for a bit but the roads are mostly clear today.

Eeep. Today was totally fine, according to dh. I did venture out mid day with the kids. That was basically fine, but we didn't go far. I am afraid they will cancel school again tomorrow. Best case scenario is going to be delay. I'm glad you are doing fine now!

Sleepy Hollow was incredible (zombie George Washington YAY!!!) I'm not sure I like the most, the ridiculousness of it all, or the fact that the Abbie and Jennie kick butt the most. (and I really want Jennie to save the day in the next series, 'cause awesome girls are awesome

Musketeers was a lot of fun, full of buckles that swashed.

Sleepy Hollow. Damn. Do they hit every trope or what? I really love the strong women in this show and I like how things are starting to be more balanced between Abbie and Ichabod.

Nope. They have tomorrow off. Must make a plan. Next week we are off for them to ski. I won't actually spend most of the week with them, which will be a nice break.

At least you can rug up and go outside, was not even going to attempt to go anywhere in 44 degrees (celsius) heat, so we were getting cabin fever too.

Yeah. It's true. We can go outside, but we can't drive when it's like this. Still, I am going to make us walk somewhere tomorrow (I think -- temps look very cold tomorrow).

When I woke up this morning there was snow outside. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! DDDDD:
I don't want it, even though it's only a small amount (like a package of powdered sugar exploded). I hope it's getting warmer soon and it melts.

The Musketeers was fun. I could do without the bed scenes too (even though shirtless Santiago is a treat) but otherwise I really liked it. That's going to be good Sunday night entertainment for the next 9 weeks. :D

I'm still not over how GOOD the Sleepy Hollow finale was. I loved it! Sadly I'm not really interested in reading SH fic (I'm not much into reading gen stories and I don't ship any pairings on the show), so the hiatus is going to be incredibly long and boring for me. I can't wait for season 2! \0/ Maybe we could organise a (weekly?) rewatch or something? *ponders*

How much snow? I tweeted a picture just now. I don't feel like we got tons of snow, but it's quite cold. -16C at the moment.

LOL. Glad I wasn't the only one who thought the bed scenes were pointless. 9 weeks! I thought we got three! Eeeee.

Sleepy Hollow did not strike me as smart, but damn, it is really holding up. Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison have magic. I love how their relationship is complicated and the power shifts. I probably won't read any fic for the story either, unless alba17 writes something:D

A weekly rewatch *might* work for me. Maybe. Not sure.

Unfortunately they are off school today. Ugh. Days like this make me feel like the worst parent.

Haven't yet watched Sleepy Hollow finale. I have the Musketeers but haven't watched that yet either. Basically everyone is staying up til forever. I'm getting behind on TV. Sticking withnDownton Abbey I guess, even though it'skind of ridiculous.

I got in bed at 6:30 last night. Got out a bit later, back in bed at 9.

I think you could watch Musketeers with your son, if he's interested. There is a bit of sex/bed scenes, but they are not very graphic.

So sorry! I can't deal with Downtown Abbey. :( :( Watch Almost Human instead :D
