I wrangled the tentacles!

Wahooo.  The tentacles went down very smoothly, I'm glad to report.  So, here are two pictures. The first is with half the tentacles glued down and nothing else is attached. The second has everything attached, plus eyes.  I think I need to do more sewing on this, but I'm still deciding.  I just feel relieved and excited about those little tentacles ( Read more... )

What do you mean, going to be? It's already fucking cute, right?

Damn it, why won't the cut tag work for me? ARGH.

Of course it's already cute, that's how I can tell the finished product will be awesome. Sheesh! Try and pay someone a compliment...

;-D

(I gave up on the standard lj cut forever ago, it's bitchy. I use div cuts, they work every time.)

I am not sure what else this little guy needs. I know if I just wait long enough, the answer will become apparent.

Thanks!

I crosspost from DW. I don't know what the deal with the cut is. I have problems when I have more than one picture, but not every time. I just hand coded it and it worked. Whatever. I'm on to other things now!

That's adorable! I like that I can see the quilting so clearly.

Thanks! I really like how the quilting in the background pops on this one. DD1 helped me pick out the thread in the store and I knew I had to use it on this one.

:D Thanks! I'm going to do a squid next, I think. I am starting to understand why people like tentacles. ♥

Thanks! If by machine you mean "manic woman who gets way too much excitement out of playing with fabric" then, yes, you've got me pegged. I was so excited when I figured out about looping the legs around to get some dimensionality to it and add the extra fabric in there:D

OMG... that's so pretty! Very nice! Are you going to have the legs flipped up like that too? Love the suction cup detail on the legs!

It's a before and after picture, so the second picture is what-you-see-is-what-you-get, except that it doesn't feel done. It needs something else, but I don't know what yet:)

So, yes, the legs are flipped up, so to speak. I had a total epiphany about the fabric when dh was cutting my hair a couple days ago and then I was frantically looking for both the purple and the yellow. I wasn't even sure I still had the yellow fabric, but it did finally turn up, to my immense relief :D

Thanks!
