well, I think there's a lot of star wars in Merlin (that scene where Mordred stabs Merlin reminds me of the end, where Darth Vader pushes the Emperor, (i forget exactly where) but the way he stands there behind Morgana, listening and then acts is very reminiscent. There are other bits too, which I think Oh, that's taken from star wars.
Also, Obi Wan Kenobi (along with Gandolf and others) is always thought of as Merlin-inspired character, so it makes sense (even if the writers don't give Merlin all the powers and respect that he deserves!

Hunh, I hadn't noticed it before, but it's been a very long time since I watched Star Wars.

I think Merlin is more like Luke in this version of things. God, Harrison Ford was so cute too. I was admiring his leather pants at the end of the first movie. We might watch Empire Strikes Back tomorrow.

We made pizza and I ate very sensibly. DH and the girls are making the traditional cranberry spiral cookies, so I'll have one of those and some tea in a bit. Mmmmm.
