Maximus is my favourite character in Tangled. Such a scene stealer. So Merlin as a BAMF, cheeky, magic, talking horse just pleases me to no end.
Also? Awesome dialogue is awesome, as per usual! Love how you always work at least one actual line from the show into your dialogue! They create a continuity link, but they're also lovely little easter eggs for the fans who have pretty well memorized it all!

LOL. That is an excellent way of thinking of it -- little easter eggs. I love nods to canon. I usually have to cheat and go look up the exact wording, but I definitely try to work in lines from the show. Have you read Third Time's The Charm yet? It's a modern au, but it starts where Merlin and Arthur meet and I've reworked the dialogue. Plus, there is a bonus!reference at the end to another work that I won't give away here.
