Poll Random questions

Maybe I missed something that you want to tell me about in comments?

It's Monday and the day is almost over.  The good news is, we've got the first snow of the year, so the girls are outside, playing in the show (what little there is:)).

ETA:  I missed Sherlock.  What was I thinking?

None of the above, I fear...

I missed Sherlock, I'm afraid. But I don't think you watch that either.

No worries.

I'd have to be interested in Buffy to include it in the poll:)

I was actually most interested in Firefly. I didn't know that I had that interest in common with so many of my LJ/DW friends!

I feel like Once Upon a Time has quite a different feel from Merlin, although on paper you could argue that there are quite a few similarities.

The thing I love about snow is when the girls get excited and go outside for an hour to play in it!

Chuck! You like Chuck?! I can't believe the number of people I know that give me blank stares when I mention it, it makes me so sad. More people need to watch it.

I don't watch Castle, but I hear that I should.

Yep. I like Chuck. I found in maybe two years ago? It's a little ridiculous, but it references the bad spy movies I used to watch with my dad when I was growing up and it just can't take itself seriously and Zach Levi is a total doll. (Colin Morgan is pretty much ideal in terms of who I think is attractive. Zach Levi is too muscly to be quite as attractive, but his character is awfully geeky and a doll to boot.)

Yes. You should watch Castle. If only for Nathan:)

The complete lack of seriousness is what makes it for me. It always cheers me up. Chuck is right beside Merlin on my list of characters I was really confused when I realised I was attracted to. Adorable, comical, and geeky. When did this addition of "cute" happen? Certainly not while I was looking.

I love how goofy they are on the show too.

For the record, before you were born when you were in diapers, I was lusting after John Cusack who always played geeky guys. These guys are totally my "type". The surprising part to me is finding so many other women who fangirl Colin so hard.

LOL. Really? These are all pretty mainstream shows in the US except for Merlin and Sherlock. Firefly is an old show (10 years old).

Not that mainstream here. As you probably know, "mainstream" in the UK mostly means "what's big on freeview", primarily the BBC, followed (somewhat distantly) by "what's super famous on Sky 1".

Dexter, for example, is a massive show, but over here I think it was airing on FX. And who the hang flicks over to FX in their spare time if they weren't watching already? So I don't think it's unusual for US shows to sail right on past.

Damn. I might need to actually get a Sherlock icon. *sigh* I'm only a half hour into the Baskervilles ep, at the moment.

Thanks for playing:)

Five months isn't terribly long to wait.

I started watching Merlin last year, at the end of S3 (well, when S3 aired in the UK). I still don't have my S3 dvds. I will get them soon. Like next week or something.

I admit to feeling a little shady about watching stuff that is not legally available when I don't intend to buy them later.

Yay for enjoying S1 with your kids.
