Maybe I missed something that you want to tell me about in comments?

It's Monday and the day is almost over.  The good news is, we've got the first snow of the year, so the girls are outside, playing in the show (what little there is:)).

ETA:  I missed Sherlock.  What was I thinking?

LOL. Really? These are all pretty mainstream shows in the US except for Merlin and Sherlock. Firefly is an old show (10 years old).

Not that mainstream here. As you probably know, "mainstream" in the UK mostly means "what's big on freeview", primarily the BBC, followed (somewhat distantly) by "what's super famous on Sky 1".

Dexter, for example, is a massive show, but over here I think it was airing on FX. And who the hang flicks over to FX in their spare time if they weren't watching already? So I don't think it's unusual for US shows to sail right on past.

I think the first part of this was directed at LG and the rest to me, right?

I don't actually own a tv, so I'm limited to what I can watch on Hulu.com (which is Fox and ABC).

I have no idea what shows are "mainstream" in the UK. I couldn't even really tell you what the top 10 shows in the US are given that the shows I love get cancelled after one season.

Also, you might have guessed, but I'm not mainstream either;)

It was all directed at LG, since I don't think you guys would have the same channels as us for the most part. I wanted to let her know that for a Brit, being oblivious to US shows isn't strange, it's normal :P God only knows how little I'd have seen over the years if I didn't have a TV mad friend encouraging me every step of the way and telling me what channels to watch.

You, not mainstream? Never. Not in a million years.

That's a shame about being limited to Hulu. I'm likely to lose my cable access when I move, but I think family are going to burn my favourite shows to disc for me, for which I am unspeakably thankful. This is primarily selfish for them, mind you, they want the company when they watch it.

Ok, thanks for clarifying.

LOL. I can see I'm totally easy to read. As I've always thought.

Hulu is awesome. If I didn't have it, I wouldn't watch anything. I didn't grow up with a tv and what I can watch on Hulu is more than enough.

I probably watch about 2 hours a week. I prefer shows that are 45 minutes long.

I have no idea what's mainstream here, really. I don't own a tv and I watch on the internet. I don't think the shows I watch are the top 10.
