LOL. I think the fact that I told her it was MONSTER SPRAY was what did the trick, but I'm a huge fan of lavender too.
Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? I just use a bag of frozen artichoke hearts. I took them out ahead of time, this time, and thawed them on the counter. I heated up some oil in the frying pan, crushed a clove garlic into it, stirred briefly, and then threw the artichokes in. Stir when you remember. Throw some lemon juice and salt on at the end and eat. Yum.
Yeah. I don't know how my parents survive with only Publix. I'd shrivel up without Trader Joe's and more importantly Whole Paycheck Foods.

Mmmm, love those marinated ones. I love them plain too. I always get the marinated ones for pizza. Dammit. Now you've got my mouth watering.
And yes, I always make artichokes in the microwave, except when I do them in the pressure cooker:D My girls LOVE artichokes. I think it's the butter lemon sauce they love, personally;)
