Bag meme and other sundry things

I have just about the teeniest bag known to womankind precisely so it won't be full of crap I don't want/need. It currently has my wallet, coin purse, and about six old grocery lists and a pen in it. Cell phone is not in it at the moment.

In other news, today was quilt immersion day. I had two quilt guild meetings. I am dead now. I ate so much ( Read more... )

What do you do if you DO need some other stuff along? Tissues? Chapstick? Coupons? Band-aids? Store membership cards? Do your keys fit in your mini-purse? I don't want ever to have a giant handbag for the same reason as you, but I only ever use my teeny bag for traveling. Tissues and band-aids are things kids need on a rather regular basis, chapstick and hand gel are helpful, and stuff like coupons, checkbook, member cards, etc are just easier to have installed permanently, rather than risk leaving them home. So - smaller bag than most, but larger than yours.

I actually have a couple bandaids in my wallet and maybe a couple in a pocket in the purse. Tissues don't seem to be in high demand. I never have tissues on me. The keys are a tight fit and chapstick and hand gel are not things I carry with me on a regular basis. My teeny purse is basically in lieu of pockets. It's not meant for an all purpose bag. It's just for when I'm out by myself with no one else or don't need anything but the basics. If I need more stuff, I grab a reusable bag and start stuffing things in that. It means I often leave the house with a bag of bags:D

Think of the purse as an auxiliary pocket.

You are 4' 10"? Wow. You are even shorter than me. I should do a poll. I'm not even 5' 1".

LOL. I thought you might like Tesla-coil boy. He's half my age. I could be his mom. He's all yours. Unless someone else wants to fight you for him;) I saw something on youtube about the hat being a chick magnet and he said "I wish". I thought that was funny.

Yay for exciting baking results!

Heh. Odd and hilarious. I hope that bodes well for our marriage.

Thanks! I'm really disgusted with it at the moment, but I think I need to go back and dig and just do it. I dreamed about my dragon crop circle quilt all night though, so that's what's in my head space at the moment (and I can't even work on it until I finish the one that needs quilting).

Are you saying you are old and stuck in your ways because of your bag?

My twin is the same height as me.

LOL. As if. I wish I could be any kind of dating service. That might be fun.

I can't imagine doing daycare. Let's just leave it at that:D

Oh, I misunderstood that. It is odd and hilarious that someone else has the same dynamic as us.

Writing and quilting are going. Sort of. I wrote yesterday. Cut up a little fabric today. I'm feeling much better about the quilting than the writing at the moment. I will work on the writing tomorrow (again) and also the quilting. I have a whole day at home with no interruptions. Yesterday was ostensibly a day with no interruptions, but I had to run two errands:P

Dreaming about stuff is not helpful. Or maybe it is. But it makes me feel like I'm not getting good sleep. Oh, and I am not ready to start the dragon quilt, but the ones I'm working on now do not require lots of thought. Just lots of cutting and sewing:D

I thought the guy was cuter than the hat, but the hat is pretty cute. Those jellyfish are cool too:D
