Merlin 4.02 raw notes

Here is what I wrote while watching 4.02.  I have to say that I loved it and did a lot of talking at the tv (to my embarrassment as I was watching it with a friend who kept saying it was ok -- her hubby sussed me out.  He said at one point, "you'll be writing slash before you know it".  I fessed up.) Um, yeah.  Fun to watch an ep for the first time

I don't think Lancelot sacrificed himself *solely* for Merlin. I think he did it because he felt he had no future with Gwen and thus he could happily give himself up for Merlin. I love how complicated they are making things this season!

I think Lancelot is lying to himself and he thinks that if he can convince Merlin, he can convince himself.

God. I loved when Merlin was running through the forest roaring for the dragon. When I can get S4 on DVD? Hell, I still need S3. *sob*.

Do you think they are going to tease us all season about the magic reveal?

I was so EXCITED when I heard him say "DRAGON". YEEEEEEEEES. Poor Lancelot, he was just like "Dude. Merlin. Are you serious?" He's seen too much of Merlin's life XD

I doubt it's going to happen this season at all. Teasing is all they've ever been doing. If anyone finds out, it's going to be Team Morgana or one of the knights.

At first I was like, "hunh" and as soon as I got it was yelling "yes yes yes" and I had to explain to the two people I was watching with what was happening. I think I was talking too loud for them to hear. Oops.

How are you living without S2 on dvd?

Oh yeah, but we've never seen Merlin do magic right under Arthur's nose like that before.

*facepalm* Maybe I should have kept quiet, but I'm incapable of doing so. I *can* keep a secret if I have to, but it basically requires me to forget that I know something. DD2 is like me in that regard.

Yes, they are going to tease us about a magical reveal. I'll be surprised if they don't at some point, though, in this series.

Loving the angst. Loving the potential that they are setting up for later in the series. Just loving it.

Did you watch 4.02 yet then? I enjoyed it and it was a completely different experience to watch it for the first time with other people who hadn't watched it.

It kind of seems like Colin has been teasing that there is a reveal at some point this season. I'd like to see it early!

I do like what they are setting up for later. Agree with that completely!

Julian and Johnny, after being asked about the magical reveal this year, said that fans wouldn't be asking that question next year - so I'm assuming that they are either 1) evil men playing with our emotions or 2) hinting about a reveal this year. :D
