I sent the kids off bright and early this morning and they were completely happy and helpful and there was no whining and they even walked to school cheerfully despite a little drizzle.  Let's hope this presages a good trend for our mornings:D  It's so weird for me to be sending them off at the same time and have the whole day to myself knowing ( Read more... )

Isn't it though? I'm sure it's a girl, since DD2 drew it (everything is a girl to her, except her father:D).

That sounds great! Alice doesn't start until next Tuesday and then only for half-days, and she's been in one camp or another all summer when we weren't travelling. But I'm really looking forward to her schedule being in one, nearby place every day, so we can get back to more of a routine.

Sounds much like our summer.

Half days are good. I think young kids need a lot more time to play on their own. And knowing what the schedule holds is very helpful!

What an adorable dragon. And YAY for the first day of school! (You're lucky about the drizzle - it's been a soggy mess all day here. Two asked me last night when it would stop raining. "Wednesday," I said. :P)

:D

We are lucky about the drizzle! Last night there were some pretty serious wind noises rattling around the house. I am also wishing some of it would go to TX where all those fires are raging!

Oh yeah. Those monsters were adorable. This dragon is also not supposed to be scary, but I don't think she meant for it to not be scary, if that makes any sense.

Oh yeah. I knew that. She actually drew something else that had reminded me of D's drawings. She's a funny kid:D
