What is considered a medieval chicken sauce?

Hope DD1's recovery continues with no further incident.

mmmMMMM.. chipotle meatballs. Would you like to come to my house and cook for me during your cooking slump? You're making some good food! We're having homemade macn cheese with brocolli and bacon because it's 5:30 and I haven't started dinner! (Why am I on LJ???)

Uh, I guess I must be over the slump because I have been cooking really blah food around here lately. LOL. The idea of me cooking for someone else when I'm having the food blahs cracks me up.

You're on LJ at dinnertime when dinner isn't even made because it feels good;)

Ooh! I made short ribs for the first time last week, using a recipe from Campton Place that I found online and they were so good.

What do you do with them?

And, yay for hungry kids!

Um, I've never cooked short ribs before. Do you recommend the recipe you used? I was hoping to figure something out with the slow cooker.

Yes, yay for hungry kids:)

I used this recipe and they came out really well. It is important to let them cool overnight so you can get the fat off--it's still pretty rich even after that. We used leeks instead of celery (Jason dislikes celery) and next time I would double the amount of leeks and carrots, at least.

The next time I make short ribs, though, I'm hoping to try this recipe and see how that is.

Wow, that recipe looks quite decadent! I was looking at a recipe that called for bacon from Cook's Illustrated.

Jason doesn't like celery? That's actually one veggie that dh likes. We make a really nice celery salad with fresh asiago and a lemon cream dressing. Yum.
