It feels very quiet on my flist today. What are you all up to today? I went to the playground with DD1 this morning and froze my butt off. It was colder than I was expecting. We came home and futzed around and ate lunch. I took her to school and stopped at the library. Picked up DD2 and fed her a little bit of food and drove home the long way ( Read more... )

I paid bills, did some updating in Quicken (though not all), and went walking with SO this morning; then had to come in to campus for a talk this afternoon. So I'm eating my lunch right now, then will grade and then go to the talk and reception. And turn in some library books. *sigh* I do think the talk will be interesting, but it's eating about 5-6 hours out of this day that I didn't really have to spare.

Wow. Sounds like a good and busy day. You forgot to include "kick jelazakazon's butt at Scrabble". How frustrating the that talk takes up 6 hours of your day!

Well, more like 5 really. The talk + reception will be about 2 hours, then driving is another 2-1/2, plus the miscellaneous hoo-hah that inevitably happens.

And we're actually pretty close; I think I'm 5 points up? Yeah, it's my turn, but still. Hardly kicking your butt! *g*

I need to remember to do book write-ups, too.

As for me - I'm celebrating the first day in nearly two weeks (and only second day in Feb) where both kids are in school and no one else is in the house. Yahoo!!!

It's gloomy and cold, and I'm depressed. I need to dust and vacuum, and really don't want to.

That sounds kind of like me. Except my house always needs vacuuming, so another day won't hurt (much). What I really need to do is go in the kitchen and do stuff.

Looking forward the cards. They got cards from their grandmother today and were very excited about. I should have video'd DD2 talking about her card. Maybe I'll do that later...
