Bountiful indeed! We're finishing up leftovers tonight, then I'm making a chicken and fermented black bean fried rice tomorrow which we'll have twice, and then sausages one night. Wednesday through Saturday we'll be away, so I have no clue what meals will be... except presumably turkey etc. on Thursday. *g*
Hmmm. I don't know. DH is a little obsessed with recipes, so he's always reading cookbooks and typing recipes in. Then, when it's time to plan the menu, we can sort through and look for just the recipes we want.
They are organized by ones we've done and like and then there are the new ones and all those are in different categories too. So, if I'm looking for a new lamb recipe (for instance), I go to recipes/new/meat/lamb and see what's in there (not much at the moment).
Meals now are always composed of a meat and a veggie or two, so I look in the meat and veggie directories.
Anyhow, I'm guessing our menus sound exciting to you because they are different from what you eat. If you ever want a recipe, let me know. Most of them are typed in and very easy to email or post:)
I think that is true, that what you eat is different from what we eat. I like to cook, but I think I just tend to pick out different sorts of things, LOL. I'm curious as to where you find some of the meats, like the lamb and the perch.
I like the way you organize recipes -- that sounds quite handy. I'd love the recipe for chipotle meatballs; I'm assuming it uses some sort of ground meat, and I'm always interested in new uses for that.
And I totally wimp out on the veggies. We always have at least one, but typically, if it's not included in the main dish (like a stir-fry), I just end up steaming something green (which, while not terribly inventive, is at least popular with my family). I've got to start paying more attention to the side dishes portions of my cookbooks. :)
Let's see. I get all my meat at Whole Foods usually. Definitely that's where I get my fish. I try to buy the cheapest wild caught fish I can get. That's how I ended up with perch. We bought a lamb from friends of ours who raise them, so we've been eating that, but WF sells lamb too
