mmmhhh very adventurous...you remind me of David Livingstone who came to Africa for his missionary work. A very devout man of God and eager to do the will of God. He found himself in the heart of Africa and could not resist his curiosity and hence wanted to uncover what had been buried, this led him to be the first white person to discover the falls in Zimbabwe which he called Victoria Falls.

Wow, he sounds like a fascinating person. I wonder how he managed to use his curiosity for the glory of God? Sometimes I feel like my curiosity runs out of control for no good use! I'll have to see if I can find a good biography about him.

I am just reading Isaiah 33:19, where he speaks of those speaking Akkadian as "You will no longer see the barbarians, a people whose speech is difficult to comprehend - who stammer in a language not understood." The note in my HCSB study Bible says, "the barabarians at the end of the eighth century BC were the Assyrians, who spoke a language (Akkadian) that the people of God could not understand. . . . " Made me think of you and your newfound love of Akkadian!

Wow :D That's a really interesting reference! Thanks so much for sharing - it brightened my day! *hugs*

I really am having fun with Akkadian. The grammar seems so logical, but the vocab is a little tough to remember. I guess I still feel like the Israelites - it's all Greek to me, hehe :P
