I want to start with a prayer request for those of you who pray. Seven years ago I lived in Croatia with a host family - a mother and her daughter, who was my age. I just got news yesterday that my host sister was in a terrible car accident and passed away this past weekend. Her family and friends are all in shock, including me. My family is ( Read more... )

Aww, I'm sorry about your host family and their daughter! That's so sad and shocking. I'll pray for them and you and everyone touched by the grief.

I hope you had a good birthday in spite of that sad news. Maybe you had your celebrations before you heard the news. Anyway, belated happy birthday to you!

Yes, we celebrated my birthday on Sunday, so we had fun. Which reminds me of a question. Have you ever had teaberry ice cream? I always thought it was a well-known flavor, but many people I talk to have never head of it. Then, we had to go to about four or five stores before we could find it. I had no idea it was such an obscure flavor...
