Whew. Some observations after a very long day trying to finish up my Christmas shopping, during which I hit not one mall but two, as well as numerous sites along the interminable commercial strip down the full length of Academy Boulevard:

I decided a few years back that I wanted a globe for the living room. Bottom line, there's only one or two companies that make them, and everything else is a repackage. You can save a lot of time and bother by simply looking at their product lines online.

I say one or two, but I can only recall Replogle, so maybe there's only one.

Department store scene at Christmas time that I remember from 40 to 45 years ago, as family is leaving the store.

Small child: "I want !"
Father: "And I want my $70 back!"

On another note, have you googled National Geographic globe yet?

Well, you see, there are more countries in the Northern Hemisphere, so naturally it's heavier.

There used to be a GI bra - military issue. I don't know if there still is.
