Can we all just calm down for a minute and remember that Guns N Roses weren't really all that great to begin with? I mean for every "Patience" and "Sweet Child O'Mine", there was a "Rocket Queen" or some such. Dude, they were only ever better than the other hair metal on MTV at the time. Seriously. They're not the fucking Beatles

GnR did one classic album - a 'best of' would consist of most of Appetite for Destruction plus 'November Rain'.

A bit like the Sex Pistols.

I used to like Cream, but they are one of the bands I can't be bothered with now. The real thing sounds so much better.

And - this is probably sacriligeous - I used to like Hendrix too, but never listen to his stuff now.

No, when I was young I loved Hendrix. It's just that his lyrics are so embarassing now. His stuff has not aged well.
