Gosh, there is so much to take in here. I loved the blending of all the different canons - delving into Jabiim seemed to make the Ascica garden and Asajj's "rebirth" all the more significant. Obi-Wan really seems to be the only man who has never failed her or abandoned her; it was very nice to see them achieve some sort of harmony. I also laughed a lot at Ventress' early characterization of Obes: Short, hairy, and completely unexcited by battle. And then he kicked her ass.

Anyways, this is wonderful! Thank you so much!

*blushes* I'm so relieved that you enjoyed it! I know you're more into comedy but I'm so awful at it I didn't dare risk ruining things by attempting to write comedy. I tried to keep it as close as i could to canon. I wasn't sure how familiar you were with the comics/novels so tried so hard to keep things clear so if you weren't that it would all still make sense ^^; I couldn't resist mentioning Jabiim though because I always thought that was the great turning point for her (though I dont think she realized it at the time.) Its so true though Obi-Wan was really the only one who did not betray or ever turn on her. He was also the only one who really had any faith in her (outside of her former master).

*GGG* I couldn't help but put in her initial thoughts on him. I just could see her viewing him as being a pathetic excuse of a warrior only to have her ass handed to her by said 'weak warrior' HAHAHHAA

Thank you for the lovely review and I'm so happy that you enjoyed this piece so much! ♥

Honestly, I wish I knew more about Ventress to be able to fully understand the journey she undertook during the course of this story. I did like the portrayal of the obsession she developed for Obi-Wan. Seems he had a bit of an obsession with her as well, if the trees are any indication.

*blushes* Well I admit much of what I wrote about here was based on what I had read on Asajj Ventress in the wookie. ^^; I did my best to try and fill in the blanks so everything flowed or at least appeared to lol. I'm told that in the novels you really get to see how Obi-Wan becomes equally obsessed with her up to the point where he is putting others at risk and such :cackle:

Anyways thanks so much for reading this and for the lovely review I'm glad you enjoyed it =D

This is one excellent take on their story, snarling at each other when they weren't almost dancing together. Loved the ending scene and the way that Asajj hurt Obi-Wan even more on Rattatak when he said things weren't her fault.

*G* Thank you so much for reading this and for the wonderful review I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! *blushes* I admit that scene where Obi-Wan realizes the truth about Asajj and she makes him pay for it was one of my favorite moments ^^;

*eyes your icon* Oh goodness you and I both!

This is a beautiful story! (And I've guessed the identity of the author, believe it or not.) It's very dark but uplifting at the same time. I like how you write Asajj's thoughts and emotions - the moment when she lashed out at Obi-Wan after being told that it wasn't her fault was especially powerful.

He had always understood her, even when she did not fully understand herself.

That's beautiful.

*blushes* Oh goodness you know I completely forgot that I had used a quote from this tale for my fanmix talk about having a braindead moment there...I blame my sinus/ear infection on that one >_>

I'm really glad you enjoyed this and that it worked! I admit that scene where Obi-Wan realizes the truth behind ASajj's anger was one of my favorites because its the turning point for him.

*blushes* I just loved the fact he was the only one who ever had faith in her, who really was there for her when she needed someone the most...

Fanmix? No, no, it was the writing style that tipped me off. And the header - you kind of say similar things in your story headers. I pay attention to details like that.

I just loved the fact he was the only one who ever had faith in her, who really was there for her when she needed someone the most

Yeah, that's one of the things I like the most about this pairing.
