Title: The Sunshine of Her Smile
Pairing: Masuda Takahisa/Tabe Mikako
Rating: PG
Summary: He’d always felt he had all the time in the world. Until he met her.
A/N: This was pretty challenging because I've never read any Massu fics before, and neither am I big on NEWS. I hope I pass muster though.

I cant even begin to start. This is literally perfect!!! Thank you sooooo much. You wrote Massu perfectly, and I think I love Mikako even more than I did before (if that makes sense, lol). I'm so happy that she lived because as I was reading it I was like, "nooooooooooo don't die"!!!!!! I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense. Its way past my bedtime, lol but thanks again! I Loved it!

I was actually drawing a blank at first because (and I confess) I never really was into NEWS for the longest time. Thankfully, some friends pointed me in the right direction and gave me interviews to watch and read. :) Tabe was a joy to write in this and I've been a fan of hers since Kimi Ni Todoke. She's so adorable and I later realized she and Massu have the same smile. XD

I'm glad you liked the fic. I think it would have killed me too, if she had died in the end so I made sure she lived. And in my mind, they have kids and they live well into their 80's. ;)

Massu is so sweet in this! And I love how driven and compassionate Mikako is! They're adorable together, and I was really glad there was a happy ending. Thank you for sharing! ♥

This felt like a delightful cross between 'A Walk to Remember' and '500 Days of Summer' if I were to compare it to a movie(s) - except thankfully, no one dies and no one breaks up. XD It starts off normally (and even comically) enough and then BAM "I have cancer" dskjfdsjk I have to say I (almost) didn't see that coming!

Massu's character is so relatable and the descriptions of Mikako's character was wonderful; I think I would have wanted to be her coworker as well.

The little reflections about life were so spot on and made me nod heartily in agreement with them.

Life wasn’t a fairytale, or even a gritty action-packed saga.

It was one bit of everything, depending on how you dealt with it.
YES. This was lovely *__* thank you for this, anon!

I'm glad I avoided those two routes. God knows I hate myself every time I write tragic endings of any kind. LOL. XD

YAY! Hahahaha I wasn't sure if I could write Massu but the articles describing his personality really helped. Mikako was easy to write since I based her helpfulness off her character in Kimi Ni Todoke, minus the people getting scared of her. xD

The life reflections I enjoyed writing because they're a collection of my own life reflections and that of people I've talked to or read about. It's nice when you get to insert that into your writing. :D

This broke my heart, then thankfully put it right back together again by the end. I loved how in the first half, it's just such a cute, falling in love, realizing your place in life, and then living with it. But tragic things don't wait for you to be ready, and that's how you portrayed it, so perfectly, dropped in the middle of a conversation, no preamble. I love how after, Massu totally threw himself headlong into life and it was amazing. ♥

Thank you so much for reading and I'm glad you liked the story! ♥ I have a certain weakness for slice-of-life stories and even when I'm writing other genres, I try to insert little life reflections in them. I was torn between a sad ending and a happy one because I torture myself when I write, but I'm glad I stuck with a happy ending. Massu was challenging to write because I know next to nothing about him, but writing Tabe balanced it out because I also have a certain bias towards her. ;)

I was worried about how thosone would end because a suffering Massu is against the laws of nature.
I liked the world you build for him and how his relationship with Mikako developed (and I cried a bit)
Lovely fic, thanks a lot for sharing!

Thank you very much for reading! :) More than the writing, I'm glad that despite my initial worry that I would have an OOC Massu, there were people who kept encouraging me. dalampasigan, I'm looking at you. XD
