Miwa's toughts and feelings were so clear and understandable for me because of the way you described it.
And that Ryu finally, FINALLY, realized what he had been missing the past 3 years!

I rewatched all of the Ryu and Miwa scenes as *cough* RESEARCH *cough* for this story, and it was worth it. I missed these two, and boy was Ryu not picking up any of her signals. UGH. I am happy to write fic that fixes those situations ;)

THIS OPENING PART IS A LOT OF ADORABLE FEELINGS. ♥

His tie was loose, and he'd rolled up his sleeves in the store room. His hair was a little tousled, his vest was unbuttoned. He was halfway to where she wanted him already.
WORTH THE WAIT, THAT SASAKURA RYU, FJDSKFSJKLA.

He was never this quick, and Miwa gasped when he nudged her legs apart, fingers teasing briefly before squeezing her ass.
OMG THIS IS HAPPENING.

He thrived on his ability to please her, on his ability to draw loud, enthusiastic noises from his otherwise prim and proper hotel manager girlfriend.

UGH SERIOUSLY THIS IS HAPPENING AND IT'S SO GREAT.

She watched a dozen different emotions flit across his face before he dug in his pocket, pulling out the keys to Eden Hall.

She woke to the feeling of his fingers stroking her forehead, smoothing her hair aside. "Stop," she mumbled. It couldn't possibly be morning already.

Dearest phrenk, let me tell you something.

I was at a place in my life where I knew I was going to write you Bartender fic, but I was facing an incredible dilemma. Basically since the drama was announced (this is a long-time dilemma, you see) I had wanted Ryu and Miwa to have sex in the bar. Because really, what is the point of making Aiba a bartender if it's not going to lead to sexy bar NC-17 excitement, right?

But then I was thinking it's absolutely impossible to toss this couple into such a situation immediately after the drama ended because they simply were not there yet. So because I couldn't logically make him take his woman roughly in the bar on their first encounter *snort* I had to just decide to write you MULTIPLE encounters. I am very happy this worked for you ;)

And there was absolutely no way I could write this story without mentioning the two people who might actually ship Ryu and Miwa more than we do. Ah, Auntie and Uncle. Bless those two <3

AHHHH. So many great things from a glorious fic! I don't think I missed this show this much but you did it! I love that you're not only writing so many unanswered questions from the show but you're lacing it with great bits and pieces of their relationship. I love how Miwa is still not over Ryu and makes effort and I love how dumb and oblivious Ryu sometimes is and how you work with all those aspects in this fic. ♥ He was supportive and kind and made her feel beautiful. OH YESSS! And to echo, Miss Phrenk, I also love that this exists! :D

Most dramas leave me unsatisfied, so I'm very happy this story allowed me the opportunity to tell the ending I wanted to see for this couple LOL!! Thanks, I'm glad you liked it and that it still matched the drama universe :)
